Spring Term 2015

Our topic this term is:

'Where in the World?'

This topic has a focus on Knowledge and Understanding of the World. We will firstly focus on our home country of Wales. We will be looking at famous Welsh traditions during our ‘Welsh Culture Week’. Following this we will read the story of Barnaby Bear to explore a different country. We will look at the similarities and differences of this country to compare it to Wales.
During this project, children will develop an understanding and appreciation for other cultures as well as a sense of pride for their own.

Monday 13th April - Friday 17th April

Welcome back to all our Nursery children! We hope you had a lovely Easter break. The children have been making the most of the sunny weather this week exploring outside with counting and balancing games. The Nursery also had the fantastic opportunity of planting potatoes with Ms Campbell-Jones which they will eventually be able to harvest and eat for snack!

They have been using their creative skills to make Easter cards and baskets. They have also been learning the importance of helping one another through reading the story of 'The Little Yellow Chicken'. On Friday they had a very special visit from the Easter bunny who brought them chocolate eggs to take home in their Easter baskets!
