As part of our topic, Year 5 & 6 held a World War II theme day to celebrate the end of the topic.
During the day the children dressed up in costumes of the era and took part in a variety of activities. These included listening to wartime music, making gas mask boxes, tasting foods that were eaten during rationing and playing traditional street games such as hopscotch, skipping, hide and seek and rolling hula hoops.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon activities and even tasting Spam, which surprisingly tasted much better than it looked.
We would like to thank the parents for making a fantastic effort to dress their children. Da Iawn, they looked fantastic.
We hope you enjoy the photos of the day.
