The children had great fun at Michaelston solving a range of Science and Maths based problems.

Our new topic this term is ...

Skin Deep

In this project the children will learn:

• About the conditions needed for bacteria to grow and spread;
• The effect of micro-organisms on food and the human body;
• How their bodies will change during puberty and how to maintain their own personal hygiene;
• About significant individuals in history associated with important scientific developments;
• How to write accounts of both real and imagined events;
• How to use ICT to create animation.

MOULD EXPERIMENT
We carried out an experiment to see which conditions were the best for mould to develop.

BACTERIA
We used disclosure tablets to examine the effects of brushing on our teeth.

JOKER'S JAILBREAK

We have been looking at recounts in our English lessons and have written Police Reports and Newspaper Reports based on a Jailbreak scene in the film Lego Batman.
Click on the link below to read our fabulous reports.

We have been looking at instruction writing. Can you follow Reece and Curtis' instructions below to draw your own Lego Batman.

A message from Cardiff Food Bank.
Well we have weighed in the food we picked up from you, and this is just a quick note to say Thank You so much to all the children and parents and everyone at Pencaerau Primary School who contributed to the 102.6 kgs of food collected at your Harvest Festival. The food is all being sorted and dated at our Warehouse now before it is given out to Cardiff people in crisis who can't afford to buy enough food for themselves or their families.
