WELCOME BACK! We hope you have a relaxing half term holiday! This week we have been settling back into nursery life!
We played in the shaving foam and rummaged to find the hidden numbers. When we had found them we sang the 'Number Rhumba!'
Mr Young came to Nursery and helped us with our threading! It was very tricky and we had to concentrate!
We also explored the light box and tried very hard to name all the colours! We made the world turn lots of different colours by putting them over our eyes! Imagine if our skin was green!!!!!!
We also had lots of fun dancing with Eleanor from Rubicon Dance! Look at us trying hard to make long shapes, short shapes, small shapes, big shapes, fast shapes and slowwwwwww shapes!
It was very sunny this week too! We enjoyed playing outside, look at us having fun!
Monday 15th April 2013 - Friday 19th April 2013
This week we have been practising our counting skills. We went on a minibeast hunt with Mrs Campbell. We counted the minibeasts that we found - it was hard because they kept running away! We also practised our counting in the water tray. We used nets and rods to catch all the fish. We counted them carefully! We tried very hard to count to 5!!
This week we talked about our new topic called 'Round and Round the Garden.' All the grown-ups helped us to make a mind map of what we already know so that we can learn lots of new and exciting things. We thought about the colours that we see in the garden. We decided that we see green the most. Miss Newell helped us to learn how to say green in Welsh; we have been practising how to say 'gwyrdd.' We mixed lots of different shades of green together with our hands and lots of different tools. - We got very messy! When our paintings were dry we used minibeast stampers to stamp lots of different colour minibeasts. Now we each have our own minibeast garden!
