Summer is Coming!

Believe it or not, there is only one short term left before the children take the next step to Secondary School! I can't think where the time has gone.

Our topic this term is:

Planet Vs Plastic

This topic has a Humanities focus and will we will be looking carefully at how humans; their habits and behaviours, have impacted on the Earth. The children will be researching the effect of plastic pollution; how we can make a positive impact on the planet; writing persuasive letters to major companies to ask them to consider their recycling policies; writing creatively in the form of a Haiku and many other activities. Hopefully we can create some eco-warriors along the way!

Week beginning 17.06.19:

"Open Your Eyes" Week.

This week the children in Year 6 have an exciting opportunity to meet several major companies, including Cardiff Blues, Glamorgan Cricket, Principality Building Society, Wilmott Dixon etc. They will be discussing future career plans, hopes and aspirations with the children and introducing them to the many different areas in the world of work that will be available to them.
